Following gameplay footage that showed off their engaging traversal maneuvers, Spider-Man's Web-Shooters are now available in Fortnite.
Spider-Man has been a topic of interest lately, with prolific iterations spread throughout many different avenues at the same time. One example saw Spider-Man recently being added as an unlockable skin in the latest Chapter of Fortnite, but it is not Spider-Man himself that has stolen the show for Fortnite players.
Instead, fans have flocked to the unique gameplay that is possible with Spider-Man's associable Web-Shooters, which have been added as an equippable item that lets players traverse similarly to the iconic web-slinger. Indeed, these Web-Shooters, which can be worn and used by any player as an item disocciated from Spider-Man himself, have become one of Fortnite's most significant draws for its new Chapter.
Today, Spider-Man's Web-Shooters have become available and are now discoverable on the Island for players to "swing, thwip, and web-sling into action." Fortnite's Web-Shooters quickly beckoned attention from early gameplay demonstrations due to their rare traversal options and maneuevers. While Fortnite's Web-Shooters lack the elegant pendulum-physics that Spider-Man's web-swinging commonly depicts, fans admire the unbridled freedom that these Web-Shooters grant when moving throughout the Island.

Fortnite's web-related maneuvers have been so warmly received by fans that they have been intimately compared to those of Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Avengers. Wide arcs around web-line grapple points allow players to soar through the air and connect several well-timed web-swings. With fans stating that Fortnite's web-swinging looks more fluid and fun than Marvel's Avengers' web-swinging, it is surely a mechanic that was given consideration with how it would operate on the Fortnite Island's environments.
Further, players are capable of attaching web-lines to the backs of vehicles and surf behind them. This 'web-surf' mechanic is now desired by fans for Marvel's Spider-Man's own traversal, demonstrating that Fortnite has implemented a mechanic that improves upon the web-head's traversal in some way. Whether it was a conscious effort to make Web-Shooters feel significantly diverse or if it was simply a mechanical fluke that players find them as engaging as they do, these Web-Shooters make a great addition to Spider-Man's video game iterations.
There are allegedly multiple spawn points from which players may retrieve Spider-Man's Web-Shooters throughout the Island, such as interactable backpacks that are notably webbed to walls. Now that Spider-Man's Web-Shooters are available in-game, it will be exciting to see what players can achieve with Fortnite's latest mechanic, and many memorable clips will likely appear online very soon.
